Emirates NBD Darna Visa Infinite review (May 2026) | DubaiPoints

Welcome bonus 15,000 Darna Points (7,500 on joining + 7,500 on AED 20,000 spend) + Platinum tier

The Emirates NBD Darna Visa Infinite is the top tier of ENBD’s Darna property-and-lifestyle co-brand. AED 1,575 inclusive of VAT, AED 30,000 minimum salary, salary transfer required, and 10% back as Darna Points at Aldar destinations — redeemable against rent and service charges in Aldar communities, and dining and leisure at providers inside the network — plus automatic Darna Platinum tier and the Visa Infinite benefit suite.

Annual fee
AED 1,575 incl. VAT
Min salary

Welcome bonus
15k Darna Points

Pros

  • 10% back as Darna Points at Aldar destinations — the strongest Aldar earn rate in the ENBD Darna lineup
  • Welcome bonus up to 15,000 Darna Points plus AED 500 YOUGotaGift voucher and automatic Darna Platinum tier
  • Visa Infinite chrome — concierge, travel insurance, lounge access (verify provider and visit cap with ENBD)
  • AED 30,000 salary qualifier opens the Infinite-tier benefit suite for genuine Aldar spenders

Cons

  • AED 1,575 annual fee with no published waiver threshold — needs genuine Aldar spend to pencil
  • Salary transfer to ENBD required — clawback risk if you leave the bank inside 12 months
  • 1.5% on non-partner spend is thin for a Visa Infinite vs Skywards Infinite or SHARE Infinite at the same fee
  • Darna Points only redeem inside the Aldar / Darna partner network — no airline transfers

Earn rates

Earn is expressed as % value back as Darna Points (10 Darna Points = AED 1), redeemable inside the Aldar / Darna partner network — not as miles per AED and not as cashback:

1.5%value back as Darna Points (10 pts = AED 1)

Fee summary

AED 1,575
incl. VAT
Annual fee
FX +1.99%

The card carries an AED 1,575 annual fee inclusive of VAT with no published waiver threshold — there is no spend-based escape from the fee. Salary transfer to Emirates NBD is mandatory for approval. The foreign-currency fee is 1.99% — older marketing summaries that described this as a 0% FX card are wrong against the current Schedule of Charges. As with any rewards card, clear the statement in full each month — the standard ENBD revolving rate will erase any Darna value many times over.

What you get — per-benefit value

Darna publishes its conversion — 10 Darna Points = AED 1 — so the earn carries honest AED figures, with the standing caveat that the value only exists inside the Darna partner network.

10% back at Darna partners

The strongest partner rate in the Darna stack. At AED 3,000 a month of genuine partner spend, Value to me: AED 3,600/year in Darna Points value; at AED 8,000 a month, AED 9,600/year. On earn alone, the AED 1,575 fee is recovered by roughly AED 15,750 of qualifying partner spend a year — about AED 1,315 a month. The fairer hurdle is the marginal one: against holding the free Darna Select at 6.25% instead, the 3.75-point differential recovers the fee at about AED 42,000 of partner spend a year — AED 3,500 a month.

1.5% on everything else

AED 10,000 a month of non-partner spend returns Value to me: AED 1,800/year in network-locked points — paid in a currency with no exit ramp, where a flat cashback card pays cash on the same spend.

Welcome bonus + Platinum tier + Visa Infinite chrome

15,000 Darna Points (7,500 on joining, 7,500 on AED 20,000 of spend in 90 days) = AED 1,500 inside the network, plus the AED 500 YOUGotaGift voucher modelled at AED 400 under our standard 20% voucher discount — Value to me: roughly AED 1,900, one-time, year one, which on its own clears the first year’s AED 1,575 fee. Darna Platinum tier has no published AED value. The Visa Infinite lounge access carries no published provider or visit cap on the issuer page — verify both with ENBD before pricing it above AED 0.

Total package: a genuine Darna household at AED 3,000–8,000 a month of partner spend books roughly AED 3,600–9,600/year in Darna Points value against the AED 1,575 fee, with ~AED 1,900 of one-time welcome value covering year one. Below about AED 3,500 a month of partner spend, the free Darna Select plus a flat cashback card is the better pairing.

Key conditions to know

Darna Points mechanics
10 Darna Points = AED 1 of redemption value. 10% back at participating Aldar / Darna partner outlets — Yas Mall, Yas Island theme parks, Aldar hotels, spas and golf courses among them. 1.5% back on all other spend. Points credit monthly to your Darna account; redeem within the partner network, not for cash and not via airline / hotel transfer.
Welcome bonus
Up to 15,000 Darna Points — 7,500 credited on joining-fee payment and 7,500 more on AED 20,000 of card spend within 90 days, plus an AED 500 YOUGotaGift HappyYOU Card on online application and automatic Darna Platinum tier. We discount voucher value at 20% on our calculator: modelled values are AED 400 on the voucher and AED 1,500 on the 15,000 Darna Points (at 10 pts = AED 1) inside the partner network.
Salary transfer
Required. Salary transfer to Emirates NBD is mandatory for approval. Minimum salary AED 30,000 a month. Salaried applicants only at this tier — self-employed routes through other ENBD products.
Visa Infinite chrome
Visa Infinite concierge, travel insurance and global lounge access (verify provider and visit cap with ENBD on activation — the issuer occasionally rotates lounge-access provider between Visa Airport Companion and competing apps).
Foreign-currency fee
1.99% on every non-AED transaction. Older marketing summaries described this as a 0% FX card; the figure verified against the issuer page is 1.99%.
Eligibility
Minimum salary AED 30,000, UAE residency required, age 21+, salary transfer to ENBD required. Documentation: Emirates ID and passport copy (with visa page for expatriates), salary certificate, latest three months’ bank statements, and a security cheque.

Watch out for

  • AED 3,500/month of partner spend is the honest break-even. On the 10% rate alone the AED 1,575 fee is recovered at about AED 1,315/month — but measured against the no-fee Darna Select’s 6.25%, the differential only repays the fee from roughly AED 3,500/month of partner spend. Below that, you are paying for Platinum tier and Visa Infinite chrome. Confirm a twelve-month partner-spend total before applying.
  • Salary-transfer lock-in and clawback. ENBD requires salary transfer to the bank for approval and applies a standard clawback if the account is closed inside the first twelve months — the welcome offer and tier status are recovered, and the AED 1,575 fee is not refunded. If you may leave the UAE or switch banks within the year, hold off.
  • No airline or hotel transfers on Darna Points. They redeem at Aldar’s partner network and nowhere else. There is no points-to-Skywards or points-to-Bonvoy escape valve — hold this for genuine Aldar spend, not as an open-ended rewards card.
  • 1.99% FX, not 0%. Legacy marketing summaries describing this as a zero-FX card are out of date against the current Schedule of Charges. Not the right card for material international spend.
  • Better Infinite alternatives if you are not an Aldar household. The 1.5% on non-partner spend is thin for the Visa Infinite tier. The Skywards Visa Infinite or the SHARE Visa Infinite earn more per dirham on general spend at the same fee band.

Bottom line

For the household whose discretionary spend genuinely lives inside the partner footprint at AED 3,500+ a month — Yas Mall regulars, Yas Island season-pass holders, families routing dining and weekend entertainment through the Aldar list — the 10% Darna Points rate is the strongest in the Darna stack, the welcome is meaningful, and Platinum tier plus Visa Infinite chrome stack on top. The AED 1,575 fee earns its keep.

For everyone else it’s the wrong Visa Infinite: non-Aldar spend earns 1.5%, Darna Points lock into the ecosystem, the salary transfer adds friction, and the 1.99% FX rules it out on overseas spend. Apply if your year of partner spend clears roughly AED 42,000 and you accept the salary-transfer commitment; skip otherwise — a no-fee Darna Select plus a broad cashback card captures the loyalty side without the AED 1,575.
