Independence
DubaiPoints is editorially independent. No bank, card issuer, airline, hotel chain, or merchant has any authority over what we cover, how we rate it, or what we publish. We do not accept payment to feature, rank, or recommend any product.
Where we earn affiliate commission on a reader application — we do not yet, but the architecture is in place — every such link is marked with an asterisk (*) and a footnote linking to How we make money.
Verification
Every credit-card review, salary-transfer offer, and rate figure on this site is checked against at least one of the following:
- The issuing bank's official product page.
- The issuing bank's published Schedule of Charges PDF.
- The bank's customer service or relationship-manager confirmation, where the public-facing page is ambiguous.
Every card review and salary-transfer offer page carries a "Last verified: [date]" stamp. If a stamp is more than 90 days old, treat the figures as approximate and verify directly with the bank before applying.
AED-first
Every monetary figure on DubaiPoints is in UAE dirhams (AED) unless explicitly noted. Foreign-currency examples are converted at the rate of the publish date and labelled accordingly. We do not use USD as a default currency on a UAE-focused site.
UAE eligibility front and centre
A complete credit-card recommendation should establish three pieces of UAE-specific eligibility information: minimum salary, salary-transfer status, and residency requirement. Our reviews surface verified fields from the issuing bank; unresolved fields are marked pending or the recommendation is withheld.
Sources
Every card review cites at least one source URL — typically the bank's product page and the relevant Schedule of Charges PDF. Where we cite an external publication for a figure (a regulator notice, a news report, a comparison page), the source is linked inline.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email info@dubaipoints.ae. We update the affected page, refresh the "Last verified" date, and — for material corrections to a published figure or recommendation — note the correction at the foot of the page and record it in our public corrections log.
Authorship and AI
DubaiPoints currently uses the organisational byline DubaiPoints Editorial; the editor's personal name is not published. AI-assisted research and drafting tools may be used internally, but publication is not automatic: product figures, recommendations and verdicts pass through human editorial review before publication.
Images
Photographs come from the issuer's own press library or from licensed stock, and carry a credit line naming the source. We also publish AI-generated illustrations — abstract or conceptual artwork, and generic unbranded scenes — where no honest photograph of the idea exists. Every one of them is labelled on the page: "Illustration: generated with … · not a photograph."
What we will not do is generate an image of something real. No AI-made card faces, no invented aircraft cabins or hotel rooms, no fabricated documents, branches, or people. If an image on this site shows you a product, a cabin, a property, or a document, it is a photograph from a source we name — not a picture a model drew for us.
