Affiliate links
An affiliate link is a tracked link to a bank's "Apply now" page that pays the publisher a commission if the reader applies and is approved. Many UAE comparison sites are funded almost entirely by these.
DubaiPoints does not run affiliate links. A dormant link component can render a gold asterisk (*), but it is not currently used and does not by itself enforce site-wide labelling. Before any affiliate programme goes live, each affiliate link must carry a visible disclosure and direct readers to the applicable commercial policy.
Any future marker must be applied in the same way to a card we recommend and to one we do not. Affiliate eligibility must not influence the verdict or the editorial treatment.
Brand partnerships
We do not accept brand-sponsored content. No "presented by" articles, no "in partnership with" deals coverage, no rev-share trip reviews. The editorial team plans the calendar; the only input from the commercial side is whether an affiliate exists for a card we were going to cover anyway.
Newsletter
The Friday brief is unfunded. We do not sell sponsorship slots in the email, insert ad creative, sell subscriber addresses or provide the subscriber list to advertisers. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures site use without cookies. Buttondown will process subscription and delivery data only after its confirmation, privacy and tracking settings are approved and disclosed.
Conflicts of interest
DubaiPoints does not currently publish a list of the editor's UAE banking relationships. That limits a reader's ability to assess product-level conflicts, so we state the limitation plainly. Any paid, hosted or other material relationship relevant to an article must be disclosed above it; a recent paid relationship with a bank precludes the editor from covering that bank.
