Who writes DubaiPoints — and how to reach us.

Last updated: 6 May 2026

The editor

DubaiPoints is, at launch, a single-editor publication. The editor is a UAE resident who has used UAE-issued credit cards, transferred a salary to a UAE bank, and redeemed Skywards and Etihad Guest miles personally. Every figure on the site has been verified by the editor against the issuing bank's official sources. As the site scales, contributor bylines will be added with the same standard.

Where we live

DubaiPoints is written from the UAE. That matters because the products we cover are sold in the UAE, the eligibility rules we report on are enforced by UAE banks, and the redemption sweet spots we track are checked against actual UAE-departure availability. We do not parachute international templates into UAE coverage — and we do not import US or UK financial assumptions that don't apply here.

What we don't claim to be

  • Regulated financial advisers. We are not authorised by the DFSA or the UAE Central Bank to provide personalised financial advice, and we do not.
  • Tax advisers, immigration advisers, or legal advisers. Where our coverage touches these areas — for example, residency requirements for credit cards, or salary-band tax treatment for expats — we report what the bank or government has published and recommend that readers consult a qualified specialist for their personal situation.
  • A complete database. We cover the cards, programmes, and offers we have been able to verify. Where a bank or product is not yet on the site, that absence is not a verdict — it is queue order.

Editorial standards

All published work follows the standards laid out in our Editorial Policy: independence from commercial relationships, AED-first figures, sourced and dated verifications, and a 90-day re-verification window. Funding sources are described in How we make money.

Contact

One inbox at launch: info@dubaipoints.ae. Editorial questions, corrections, tips, and commercial enquiries all route there. As the team grows we'll publish dedicated addresses; until then, please mark the subject line so it gets to the right reader (e.g. "Correction:", "Tip:", "Partnership:"). Commercial enquiries have no influence on editorial coverage — see how we make money.
