The Emirates NBD Etihad Guest Visa Inspire is the entry tier in ENBD’s Etihad co-brand line. It earns Etihad Guest Miles directly into the cardholder’s loyalty account at the AED 12,000-a-month salary bar, with no salary transfer required — the most accessible direct Etihad Guest earner on a UAE Visa.
- Annual fee
- AED 735 incl. VAT
- Min salary
- AED 12,000/mo
- Top earn rate
- 7× Dining
- Welcome bonus
- 60k Etihad Guest Miles
Pros
- 7 Etihad Guest Miles per AED 10 on Etihad airfare, hotels and dining — strong direct-earn at a low salary bar
- Silver-tier fast-track on 1 return Etihad flight — the only entry-tier Etihad co-brand that fast-tracks status
- Up to 60,000 Etihad Guest Miles welcome — enough for a short-haul Business one-way at saver
- 1.99% FX fee is below the 2.49% premium-Visa norm
- No salary transfer required at the AED 12,000 minimum salary
Cons
- AED 1,575 joining fee in year one — higher than the AED 735 ongoing fee implies
- 4 miles per AED 10 base earn (everything else) is unremarkable compared to the partner categories
- Tier Mile cap of 20,000/year — card spend cannot satisfy any Etihad Guest tier's from-flying floor
- No Visa Infinite lounge programme — lounge access is Visa Signature-tier rather than the 1,000+ network the FAB Infinite carries
- Etihad-loyal only; Dubai-based Emirates flyers earn far more per dirham on a Skywards co-brand

Fee summary
The fee structure is unusual: AED 1,575 joining fee in year one, dropping to AED 735 annual fee from year two — both VAT-inclusive. Read the year-one running cost as AED 1,575, not AED 735. The 1.99% FX fee is below the 2.49% norm on most premium UAE Visa Infinite cards in market. Minimum salary is AED 12,000 a month and salary transfer is not required.
What you get — per-benefit value
Per the 2-fils-per-Mile Etihad Guest baseline on our programme overview. Remember the earn is quoted per AED 10, not per AED 1 — the conversion below is already done. Counted against AED 1,575 in year one and AED 735 from year two.
Welcome bonus
Up to 60,000 Etihad Guest Miles. Value to me: AED 1,200, one-time at the 2-fil baseline — clears the year-two renewal with change but covers about three-quarters of the AED 1,575 joining fee on its own; a well-chosen Business saver redemption can deliver more.
Earn on AED 100,000 of card spend
4 Etihad Guest Miles per AED 10 base (0.4 Miles per AED 1, a 0.8% return at the baseline); 7 per AED 10 on Etihad airfare, hotels and dining (1.4%). Value to me: roughly AED 800/year on AED 100,000 of all-base spend — up to about AED 1,400/year if most of it lands on the 7-Mile categories.
Silver-tier fast-track
Triggered by one return Etihad flight. We value it at one extra checked bag (~AED 100) plus priority check-in (~AED 50) per flown trip. Value to me: AED 300–600/year for two-to-four Etihad trips — and only while the status lasts; re-qualification is on flown Tier Miles.
Visa Airport Companion lounge access
1,000+ lounges; ENBD does not publish the visit cap at the product page. Value to me: AED 200 per visit actually used — AED 400–800/year for a two-to-four-trip flyer, assuming the cap allows it.
25% redemption-discount voucher
One per AED 100,000 of annual spend, max two. Value to me: ~AED 300 per voucher used — the saving on a 60,000-mile redemption (15,000 Miles back at the 2-fil baseline). AED 0 if you don’t hit the spend bar.
Total package: year one sums to roughly AED 2,700–3,400 at the baseline (welcome + earn + Silver + lounge) against the AED 1,575 joining fee — positive for anyone who actually flies Etihad. From year two it is earn plus lounge, roughly AED 1,200–2,200 against AED 735. The maths holds as long as the Etihad habit does; for an Emirates flyer, none of these lines apply.
Key conditions to know
- Welcome bonus mechanics
- Up to 60,000 Etihad Guest Miles welcome, posted on activation and qualifying spend per the ENBD product page. A 60,000-mile balance funds a saver-rate short-haul Business one-way (e.g. AUH → BAH / DOH) or a substantial chunk of a longer GuestSeat upgrade.
- Silver-tier fast-track
- One return Etihad flight within the qualifying window triggers Etihad Guest Silver-tier status — priority check-in, +5kg baggage allowance, and a reduced GuestSeat bid threshold. Unusual for an entry-tier co-brand at this salary bar.
- Tier Mile earn
- Up to 2.5 Etihad Tier Miles per AED 10 spent, capped at 20,000 Tier Miles per year. Card spend cannot satisfy the from-flying minimum on any Etihad Guest tier (10,000 for Silver, 20,000 for Gold, 40,000 for Platinum) — see the Etihad Guest programme guide.
- Redemption voucher
- 25% Etihad Guest Miles redemption-discount voucher on every AED 100,000 of annual spend, capped at 2 vouchers per year — useful for stretching a long-haul Business redemption further if you hit the spend bar.
- Lounge access
- Complimentary access to 1,000+ airport lounges worldwide via the Visa Airport Companion app. Verify current visit cap and guesting policy on the issuer page before relying on it for a specific trip.
- Eligibility
- Minimum salary AED 12,000/month; salary transfer not required; UAE residency required; salaried employment.
Watch out for
- Year-one joining fee. AED 1,575 in year one is materially higher than the AED 735 annual-fee headline; budget the full first-year cost when modelling the welcome bonus return.
- 4 miles per AED 10 on everything else. Outside Etihad airfare, hotels and dining the earn drops to 4 miles per AED 10 — roughly 0.4 miles per AED spent. A flat cashback card pays back more on general spend.
- Tier Mile cap. Card spend builds Tier Miles only up to 20,000 a year, and each Etihad Guest tier carries a from-flying floor (10,000 for Silver, 20,000 for Gold, 40,000 for Platinum) that only flown Etihad segments satisfy. You cannot card-spend your way to status.
- Etihad Guest is a mid-pack programme. Redemption sweet spots are thinner than Skywards or Qatar Privilege Club; devaluation risk applies the same as everywhere else.
Bottom line
The Inspire is the most accessible direct Etihad Guest earner on a UAE Visa — same headline partner earn as the premium siblings at the AED 12,000 salary bar, with a 60,000-mile welcome (enough for a short-haul Business one-way at saver) and a Silver fast-track no other entry-tier Etihad co-brand offers. The 18-month activity-reset clock means a small monthly transaction keeps the balance alive indefinitely; see the Etihad Guest programme guide for the Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Emerald ladder.
Apply if Etihad is your home airline, your salary clears AED 12,000 a month, and you’ll take one return Etihad segment in the qualifying window. Skip if you live in Dubai and fly Emirates more often — Skywards earns more per dirham — or if your salary and spend pattern justify stepping up to the Elevate or FAB Infinite.
