The Emirates NBD Noon One Visa is co-branded with noon — the UAE-and-Saudi ecommerce platform that competes head-on with Amazon.ae — and earns noon Credits straight into the cardholder’s noon balance, redeemable at checkout across noon, noon Food, NowNow, Namshi and supermall.
- Annual fee
- Free
- Min salary
- AED 5,000/mo
- Top earn rate
- 20% Dining
- Welcome bonus
- 500 noon Credits
Pros
- AED 500 noon Credits welcome on AED 5,000 of spend in 60 days — roughly 10% return on the qualifying window
- Up to 20% back on noon Food, 10% on NowNow and 5% on noon / Namshi / supermall — capped at AED 2,000/month
- Free for life — no annual fee, no salary-transfer requirement, AED 5,000 salary bar
- AED 250 YOUGotaGift HappyYOU Card on issue plus a 1-year free noon One membership
Cons
- Welcome bonus is new-to-bank or new-to-card only — existing Emirates NBD cardholders get nothing
- Earn outside the noon ecosystem is just 1%, making this a one-shop card
- noon Credits are a captive currency — useful only if you keep shopping on noon, noon Food, NowNow or Namshi
- 1.99% foreign-currency fee — not a travel card despite the no-annual-fee positioning
Earn rates
All earn is paid as noon Credits — a closed-loop balance redeemable only at checkout on noon platforms. The headline rate tiers, with the AED 2,000-per-month combined cap across all noon platforms:
- Dining
- 20%
- Everything else
- 1%
Fee summary
The card is free for life — AED 0 annual fee, no spend threshold, no clawback. The cost to watch is a 1.99% foreign-currency fee: most noon purchases settle in AED, but anything through a non-AED merchant — or a noon site billed in another GCC currency — picks the fee up. All published fees include 5% VAT.
Welcome bonus breakdown
The welcome stack runs to three pieces: AED 500 in noon Credits for AED 5,000 of spend in the first 60 days, plus a AED 250 YOUGotaGift HappyYOU Card on issue, plus a 1-year free noon One membership (50% off thereafter). The AED 500 + AED 250 = AED 750 on AED 5,000 of qualifying spend is roughly a 15% return on the opening window — strong by UAE no-fee-card standards. Critically, the welcome is new-to-bank or new-to-card only: existing Emirates NBD cardholders are excluded and receive nothing for opening it.
Perks worth using
The Noon One is a free-for-life card, so the per-perk maths is a question of how much annual return the noon ecosystem actually delivers — not a break-even against a renewal fee. We’ve put a per-benefit Value to me on each so you can see where the AED comes from before applying:
AED 500 noon Credits welcome (new-to-bank/card only)
Spend AED 5,000 in the first 60 days and AED 500 in noon Credits hit your noon wallet — a structured 10% return on the qualifying spend. Treat this at face value if you’ll spend the credits on noon within their validity (you will, if you shop the platform). Value to me: AED 500 in year one — straight credit to noon checkout.
AED 250 YOUGotaGift HappyYOU Card on issue
A multi-merchant gift card honoured at a published list of UAE retailers and F&B partners. Face value redeemable at par if the merchant list covers a brand you’d spend at anyway. Value to me: AED 250 in year one if the merchant list works for you; AED 150 if you’d discount the card 40% to a brand you care less about.
1-year free noon One membership (50% off thereafter)
The standalone noon One subscription retails around AED 119/year and bundles free delivery on noon, NowNow and noon Food, plus member-only pricing. The card covers a full year. Value to me: AED 119 in year one — face-value the subscription. From year two, the 50% discount is AED ~60/year if you renew.
20% back on noon Food
The headline category rate. UAE families ordering noon Food twice a week at an average AED 60 basket: 2 × AED 60 × 4.3 weeks × 12 × 20% = Value to me: AED 1,238/year in noon Credits. Light user (one order a week, AED 50 basket): AED 516/year. The combined AED 2,000/month cap binds only if total accelerated earn exceeds AED 2,000 — for a noon Food-only user, that’s AED 10,000/month of orders, which is not most readers.
10% back on NowNow
NowNow is noon’s quick-commerce grocery arm. Weekly AED 150 basket: 4.3 × AED 150 × 12 × 10% = Value to me: AED 774/year in noon Credits. The AED 2,000 combined monthly cap starts to bite if you stack NowNow + noon Food + noon retail in the same month — track this if you genuinely live on the platform.
5% back on noon, Namshi and supermall
The broader retail rate. Household spending AED 1,500/month across noon retail, Namshi fashion and supermall purchases: 1,500 × 12 × 5% = Value to me: AED 900/year. This is where the AED 2,000 monthly cap is most likely to trigger for heavy users — combined accelerated earn above AED 2,000 stops paying that month.
1% off-platform
The base earn outside the noon ecosystem. Monthly off-platform card spend of AED 3,000 (the rest of household life on a non-noon merchant): 3,000 × 12 × 1% = Value to me: AED 360/year in noon Credits. Below the UAE cashback floor — this is filler earn, not a reason to use the card for general spend.
For a household that already shops noon weekly across food, NowNow and retail, the ongoing earn comfortably clears AED 2,000–3,000/year in noon Credits, plus the AED 869 year-one welcome stack (AED 500 + AED 250 + AED 119). Total package: ~AED 2,900–3,900 in year one against AED 0 fee — fully captive to the noon ecosystem. If you’d shop noon anyway, the maths is unambiguous; if you wouldn’t, the credits trap the rewards in a drawer.
Key conditions to know
- noon Credits redemption
- noon Credits sit in your noon wallet and are redeemed at checkout on noon, noon Food, NowNow, Namshi and supermall. No transfers to airlines, hotels, statement credit, AED cash-out or third-party programmes.
- Earn caps
- The accelerated rates (20% / 10% / 5%) are capped at a combined AED 2,000 of noon Credits per calendar month across all noon platforms. The 1% off-platform earn is uncapped.
- Welcome eligibility
- AED 500 noon Credits on AED 5,000 of spend in the first 60 days; new-to-bank or new-to-card customers only. AED 250 YOUGotaGift HappyYOU Card and 1-year free noon One membership packaged with issue.
- Eligibility
- Minimum monthly salary AED 5,000; salaried only; UAE residency required; salary transfer not required. Standard ENBD documentation — Emirates ID, passport with visa page, three months’ bank statements, security cheque.
- Network
- Visa — accepted everywhere noon and its sub-brands process card payments. Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay supported.
Watch out for
- Captive-currency payout. noon Credits redeem only on noon platforms. The 20% on noon Food is genuine, but only if you order noon Food. Stop shopping on noon and the balance effectively traps the rewards.
- New-to-bank gate on the welcome. Existing Emirates NBD cardholders get the earn rates but none of the AED 500 + AED 250 + noon One welcome. If you already hold an ENBD card, the maths is much weaker.
- 1% off-platform. Outside the noon ecosystem the card is a 1% cashback — well below the UAE average. Carry a flat-rate cashback card for everything that isn’t noon.
- FX fee at 1.99%. Modest by UAE standards but not zero. The no-annual-fee positioning shouldn’t be confused with a travel card.
Bottom line
A clean welcome-bonus product for new-to-bank residents who already live on noon. Spend AED 2,000+ a month on noon platforms, clear AED 5,000 in the first 60 days, and the AED 500
- AED 250 + free noon One stack is roughly 15% back on the opening window with strong ongoing earn on spend you’d be doing anyway. Apply if you fit the new-to-bank criteria and shop on noon weekly. Skip if you already bank with Emirates NBD (the welcome disappears), or if your spend isn’t concentrated on noon platforms — the 1% off-platform rate makes a flat-rate AED-denominated cashback card the cleaner hold.
Pay smart: for AED-denominated rewards on the spend that doesn’t go through noon, pair this with a broad-merchant cashback card like the CBD One free-for-life Visa. Newer UAE residents setting up their first bank account and card should start with our expat starter guide.
