Etihad fare sale closes 31 July 2026 — and its Miles prices value an Etihad Guest Mile at a flat 2.94 fils

Etihad's UAE offers page carries round-trip Economy fares ex-Abu Dhabi with a book-by-31-July deadline for travel to November 2026. Each fare shows a cash price and an Etihad Guest Miles price; divide one by the other and every route returns 2.94 fils per Mile.

Etihad’s UAE offers page ran a fare sale with a book-by 31 July 2026 deadline for travel until November 2026. The booking window has since closed; the analysis below stands as filed. The published sample fares were round-trip Economy ex-Abu Dhabi, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, and each one carried an Etihad Guest Miles price alongside the cash price.

One caution before the numbers: earlier coverage this month described a wider Etihad sale on a different booking window. That window has lapsed and the AE offers page does not carry it today. What is verifiable on 27 July is the book-by-31-July sale below.

Route (round trip, ex-AUH)CashEtihad Guest Miles

CairoAED 1,06036,082
RomeAED 2,29077,942
BangkokAED 2,65090,192
New York (JFK)AED 3,480118,243
London (LHR)AED 3,520119,806

These are fixed-rate Miles prices, not award-chart redemptions

Divide the cash price by the Miles price and the same figure comes back every time. London: AED 3,520 ÷ 119,806 Miles = AED 0.0294, or 2.94 fils per Etihad Guest Mile. Mumbai: AED 1,050 ÷ 35,735 = 2.94 fils. Cairo, Rome, Bangkok and New York all land on 2.94 too.

A flat rate holding across six routes and a threefold fare spread is the signature of a fixed conversion. Etihad is selling these seats at a set fils-per-Mile price rather than pricing an award seat off a chart — so none of these Miles prices reflects award availability, and none of them is a saver award.

That is the whole story for a Miles holder, because 2.94 fils is a ceiling. It clears the 2-fils cost basis we publish for an Etihad Guest Mile on our valuations page and the Etihad Guest hub, so it is not a poor rate against what a Mile costs to earn. But the same hub records saver Business redemptions returning roughly 15–23 fils per Mile — five to eight times more from the identical balance. Paying the cash fare on an Etihad Guest co-brand card also earns Miles and Tier Miles; paying with Miles earns neither and empties the balance at the programme’s weakest rate.

What it means for UAE members

These are Abu Dhabi departures. Dubai readers should price the drive or transfer to AUH into the comparison before treating AED 1,050 to Mumbai as a Dubai fare — on the cheaper routes that transfer is a material share of the ticket, and a DXB departure at AED 200 more may be the better buy.

If one of the six routes matches a trip you were already taking, book the cash fare before 31 July. If you were weighing the Miles price, don’t: hold the balance for saver premium-cabin space, where Etihad Guest arithmetic actually works. And if none of the six is on your list, there is nothing to do here — this is a fare sale, not a programme change, and no earn rate, expiry rule or award chart has moved.

Verified against etihad.com/en-ae/offers on 27 July 2026; fares and schedule are subject to change per the page. The fils-per-Mile figures are our own division of Etihad’s published cash and Miles prices.
