Emirates Islamic extends the Switch Cashback welcome offer to 30 September

The AED 500 welcome cashback on Emirates Islamic's Switch Cashback Card — AED 15,000 of retail spend within 60 days of approval — now runs to 30 September 2026. Confirmed against the bank's card page in our July verification pass.

Emirates Islamic has quietly extended the welcome offer on the Switch Cashback Credit Card: the published validity now runs to 30 September 2026. We caught the new date in our July re-verification of the card page — no announcement, just a changed line in the terms.

The mechanics are unchanged. New cardholders earn AED 500 welcome cashback after AED 15,000 of retail spend within 60 days of card approval. That is a real spend gate — AED 7,500 a month for two months — so the welcome pays out for people whose card would carry that load anyway, not as free money for a wallet-drawer card.

The card’s standing economics are what they were when we reviewed it: 8% cashback on fuel, a 2.54% foreign-currency fee (confirmed against the Schedule of Charges), and an AED 313.95 annual fee from year two. The welcome covers most of two years of fees if you trigger it.

Who should care

If you were already considering the Switch for its fuel rate, the extension removes the deadline pressure that existed when the offer was due to lapse mid-summer — there are now two more months to plan an application around the 60-day spend window. If your monthly retail spend sits well under AED 7,500, the welcome should not be the reason you apply; judge the card on its category rates alone.

As always: the bank can change or withdraw the offer before the published date. We verify against the card page, not press material — the source link below is the page we checked, and the review carries the full conditions.
