ADCB has rebalanced the earn table on the 365 Cashback Credit Card, its flagship everyday cashback Visa. The changes surfaced in our July verification of the product page and were confirmed against the Schedule of Fees (Ver.46):
- Groceries & supermarkets: 5% → 3%
- Fuel & Salik: 3% → 5%
- New 5% categories: home digital-entertainment subscriptions (Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and peers) and AI subscriptions (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) when paid directly to the merchant
- Dining stays at 6%, including online food orders
- 1% on everything else and on international retail purchases
The card’s gating mechanics are unchanged and still decide who this card is for: no cashback at all in a month below AED 5,000 of spend, and a AED 1,000 monthly cashback cap. The welcome offer now runs on a 45-day trigger — AED 365 back on AED 5,000 of spend within 45 days of issuance, paid within 90.
What the rebalance means in dirhams
For a household running AED 3,000 of dining and AED 2,000 of groceries a month — exactly clearing the floor — the change trims the monthly earn from AED 280 to AED 240 (AED 2,880/year). Shift AED 500 of that grocery spend to fuel, Salik or a 5% subscription category and the same AED 5,000 floor pays AED 250. In short: the card got slightly worse for grocery-heavy households and slightly better for commuters and subscription stacks.
Grocery-first spenders now have a genuine reason to compare alternatives — the cashback rankings line the options up by net AED value. The full 365 Cashback review has been rewritten around the new table, with the worked examples and the break-even maths.
